Meteors! - Aaron
So tonight brian and i went down to the point past fort fisher to try and get some shots of the meteor shower. As it turned out there wasnt a ton of activity. I did however manage to capture some pretty cool long exposures. Each of these are both roughly 10 minutes a piece. I havent done exposures this long before so it was pretty fun. As you can see in the first one, there are some pretty cool "Star Streaks" as well as some thunder storms on the horizon and at least one meteor trail. Its the one on the bottom that is going the opposite way of the rest of the stars. Lets have some comments god damnit.

awesome pics man... I have been planning to do some star trails all summer but haven't got around to it... all of us should get together in like a week or two when i get down there and go an expedition... I want to go to a farm or somewhere where there is absolutely no light and do like an hour long exposure
sounds like a plan...what was really cool about down there was that therewas just a little light...witch made it so i didnt have to spend a ton of time getting a couple shots. like i said most of those were like 10-12 minutes. sadly im pretty sure my camera will only let me do 30 minutes max on bulb. I didnt try it the other night but maybe i should give it a shot just to see.
